Donna Hoffman, Alain Mikli	Alain Mikli International Group has welcomed Donna Hoffman as sales director. In her new role, Hoffman will oversee the increase of U.S. sales, focusing on the management of the sales team and training.
Kevin Bligh, QSpex Technologies	Optical industry veteran Kevin Bligh has joined QSpex Technologies as its vice president of sales and marketing. Bligh brings more than 25 years of industry experience to his new position, including senior management experience with Optical Connection, Inc., and UltraVision Corporation.
Kevin Young, Rudy Project	Rudy Project has welcomed Kevin Young as its newest sales representative. Previously, Young worked for Luxottica and L'Oreal USA. Tony Caudill has joined Super Systems as lab manager. In his new role, Caudill plans to streamline lens preparation processes through the implementation of lean manufacturing.

BUSINESS UPDATES

Kowa Optimed has announced that it will be one of the sponsors of the 2012 American Optometric Association (AOA) EHR Phase II Affiliate Education Program, a program designed to educate ECPs on the adoption and implementation of EHR in several areas, including federal regulations and stimulus. Course dates and locations vary by state.

AWARDS

Transitions Optical, Inc., is the recipient of PRWeek's 2012 Multicultural Marketing Campaign of the Year award. The award was presented during the 2012 PRWeek Awards event, held last month in New York City.

The American Optometric Society named Taya Grilli, a senior at the Illinois College of Optometry, the recipient of the 2012 Harvey Yamamoto Award and a $1,000 scholarship. Grilli was recognized at the AOS 3rd Annual Meeting and CE Seminar in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Through its participation in Cycle of Sight, EyeMed employees helped to provide more than 26,000 free vision screenings and fit more than 1,400 students from the Cincinnati tri-state region with new eyewear

ICE-TECH Advanced Lens Technologies has announced that Advanced Optical of Vero Beach, Fla., is its 2011 Customer of the Year and winner of an all-expense paid trip to Mido in Milan, Italy.

GOOD DEEDS

More than 200 EyeMed Vision Care associates participated in Cycle of Sight, a program of OneSight, to provide free vision screenings, exams, and new glasses to children in need in the greater Cincinnati area. Working together with Luxottica employees, more than 26,000 students were screened.
