Live Form Red Carpet Season
Amy Spiezio
From late fall through late spring, the world of celebrities is alive with the sound of whirring cameras and sliding zippers as awards events and festivals fill the calendars and gossip pages of media stars and their followers alike.
This year, sunglasses take the spotlight for every age group and genre, whether on the red carpet, in gifting suites, or live from center stage. Several trends proved to be go-tos for the hoi polloi.
AVIATORS. There's no stopping these classic sunglasses from flying high in metal tones or brighter colors.
BIGGER IS STILL BETTER. When facing off with flashbulbs, oversized sunglasses still jump to the defense of eyes on the red carpet. Plumped-out cat-eyes are particularly hot.
SQUARED OFF. Celebs are also fans of rectangular styles that are large but not huge, often in tortoise or purple hues. EB
