Gregg Fowler, HOYA Davis Vision, Inc., has named Scott Mallonee regional vice president for national accounts and Chris Childs regional vice president of sales for the western division. Vision Source has added Neil Godbey to its board of directors. Godbey is president and CEO of The Godbey Group and chairman and CEO of Advanced Plan for Health. Neil Godbey, Vision Source Essilor International recently appointed Lena Henry as chief strategy officer. Lena Henry, Essilor International Carl Zeiss Vision has announced the promotion of Steve Mitrakos to the newly created position of senior vice president, sales. Legacie Accessories has appointed Nick Gelabert to the position of director of international sales covering the Caribbean, Central America, and South America.

Optometry Giving Sight (OGS) is launching a fresh look and feel to the 2013 World Sight Day Challenge, which runs from September 1 to October 10. Based on the concept of “People Power,” OGS has debuted a new logo and promotional materials, including participant t-shirts and “People Power” wristbands.

The Essilor Vision Foundation volunteers provide free sunwear to Special Olympics 2013 Texas Summer Games athletes

Through its partnership with the Special Olympics Opening Eyes program, the Essilor Vision Foundation provided more than 475 pairs of glasses to athletes at the Special Olympics Texas Summer Games, held May 24 and 25, 2013, at the University of Texas at Arlington’s Maverick Stadium.
