CE Continuing Education
This year’s show offers attendees 325 hours of continuing education opportunities, truly providing something for everyone. The courses have been broken up into four key areas of interest—Business Solutions, Clinical/Medical, Optical Technology, and Contact Lenses—to make finding and planning your CE schedule a breeze.
NUTRACEUTICALS. Making its VEW debut, this nine-hour series will educate attendees on the latest supplements that offer health benefits and nutritional value, how to promote total patient care and overall wellness, and how nutraceuticals can help generate additional revenue streams.
HEALTHCARE REFORM AND GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS. This nine-hour series will help eyecare providers prepare their practices for the most dramatic changes in healthcare since the beginning of Medicare. Attendees can find answers about EHR deadlines and penalties to ensure they are fully compliant with the phasing-in of Healthcare Reform.
SPECTACLE LENS SPECIALIST MINI TRACK. Also debuting at this year’s show, this six-hour track provides a comprehensive look at today’s lens technologies—what they do, what they’re for, and how to communicate the value to patients. Key takeaways include the importance of measurements; leveraging technology to increase accuracy and patient satisfaction; product-generic overview of options in lens design, materials, and coatings; identification of what products solve patients’ needs and wants; as well as a high-tech look at sunlight and sunlens solutions.
FRAME BUYER SESSIONS. Eyecare Business is pleased to be the official co-sponsor for the Frame Buyer Sessions, an 18-hour track focusing on streamlining the process of managing, monitoring, positioning, and promoting your frame inventory. Attendees completing eight hours within the track at either VEW or VEE will earn a Frame Buyer Certificate.
VISIONOMICS. Offering 21 hours of CE, this series of COPE- and ABO-approved business-building courses focuses on building revenue and securing the fiscal health of your business. Eyecare Business is proud to once again be the official media trade partner for this series.
CHIEF EXPERIENCE OFFICER. In the four-hour Chief Experience Officer (CXO) Certificate Program, for which EB is proud to be the official trade media sponsor, attendees will learn to designate and empower a CXO in order to drive and implement extraordinary customer service, differentiate your business from the Internet, increase patient satisfaction, loyalty, and profits; and create demand and desire for your personalized approach to eyewear and eyecare delivery.
ADJUSTABLE LENSES: A NEW CATEGORY. Scheduled for October 4 at 10:45 a.m., this one-hour course, presented by Adlens and led by Graeme MacKenzie, OD, the company’s director of industry affairs, provides all the required information about how variable focus eyewear works, how it can be applied to enhance the lens product mix, and how developments in adjustable lens technologies can meet the needs of the market in the future.
