Ted Baker “Just Kidding” from Tura, Inc., Comes Out to Play
Tura, Inc., has launched the Ted Baker “Just Kidding” kids’ eyewear collection with eight ophthalmic styles for boys and girls, particularly created for fashion-forward kids without the luxury price tag.
Known as the quintessentially British brand, Ted Baker eyewear is best described as quirky yet commercial with high-quality design detailing. The “Just Kidding” collection is a sized-down version of the adult frames that will be sold exclusively at independent ophthalmic retailers across the country, company representatives say.
“The Ted Baker ‘Just Kidding’ collection has mischief and humor, but it also celebrates individuality,” says Tura, Inc., vice president of brand management Jennifer Coppel. “The new styles are hip, bold, and tailored.”
Many of the collection’s styles mix classic, retro-inspired shapes with a contemporary flare for details, such as bold color and fun motifs, creating something modern and fun for children. Style highlights include bright pop-colored interiors on acetates and small 3D bows on metal styles for girls or bows as screw head-inspired details on acetate frame fronts. For boys, retro looks get fresh updates with racing stripes of hot colors layered in acetate.
In addition, the collection features a fun unisex style: a retro P3 acetate frame with a keyhole bridge with pop colors on the interior that Tura representatives suggest for cool kids who want to stand out.
All models have spring hinges, and sizing is proportioned for kids.

SILHOUETTE UNVEILS TITAN RAYS COLLECTIONThe Silhouette Titan Rays collection tempts wearers with its bright colors and modern design options. SERENGETI INTRODUCES TOURING COLLECTIONThe touring category of automobiles describes cars that balance luxury, high performance, and sleek design. Serengeti’s new Touring sunglass collection possesses attributes similar to their four-wheeled namesakes, company representatives note. All three Touring collection models, Empoli, Udine, and Rivoli, feature Wire-Flex frame technology that gently conforms to the contours of the wearer’s face. The temples are highly flexible and constructed from a mix of nickel, silver, and stainless steel; and the frame fronts are light and durable Grilamid TR90. In addition, all of the Touring collection sunglasses are fitted with Ultra-Light glass lenses made with borosilicate optical glass from Corning. The photochromic and spectral-control lenses are chemically tempered for scratch and impact resistance. “The Touring collection is the ultimate expression of Serengeti’s commitment to making the sunglasses that work great behind the wheel and—of course—everywhere else,” says Dani LaGace, global director of eyewear. She adds: “Just as the finest automobiles combine the newest and best technologies with flawless engineering, so too do Serengeti Touring collection sunglasses.” INFO: serengeti-eyewear.com |
