Try Change, a brand of eyeglasses with interchangeable temples exclusive from Allison, offers eight new models for spring 2013. The new collection features new shapes, new shades and new materials.

Though Try Change is well-known for its rimless offerings, full-rim styles are in the spotlight this season with a range of four super-trendy shapes alternating from round to the fashionable 80s retro looks. Other styles hit a more feminine note with beveling and softer shapes. In addition, slim geometric styles tempt those seeking a more architectural look. Each model is available in both in optical and sun versions in five colors.

Try eyewear is constructed in super-light and durable polyamide that is used both for lenses and for the frame for dramatic color play, semi-transparent, and flash mirror finishes.

7 My George

The new MYMUSE optical collection for men from OKO Eyewear Group has silver screen inspirations. Two of the models imagined by head designer David Beddok were created using actor, director, and heartthrob George Clooney as a muse.

Conceived in acetate, and in bio-acetate eco-friendly M49 from Mazzucchelli for some models of the collection, including the star struck George C03 and George C04, the collection is fully manufactured in Italy. Notes Beddok: “There are no other limits to our dreams than our imagination.”

With vintage, retro-fashion shapes and hand-picked materials, David Beddok designs and creates for the OKO by OKO Paris, MOKO Besicles, and KIDOKO brands.

FLEYE’s Spring/Summer 2013 styles are the result of a collaboration with the up-and-coming Danish architect and origami artist Amanda Betz.

The new FLEYE collection is crafted in Japanese beta-titanium with elegant and folded-paper-inspired patterns such as boxes, diagonals, and hexagons cut into the titanium fronts.

To market the campaign, Betz uses her origami techniques to interpret these frame front patterns and made some beautiful, large-scale paper creations to accompany the eyewear designs. Colors in the collection include blends of pink, purple/blue, and dark green; steel and blue, and other bright hues.

Rooted in surf and skate culture, Oakey is using its frame knowledge to create a new hybrid sunglass. The TwoFace style is a polarized look that pairs lightweight, durable O Matter with lower rims of aluminum.

The mixed-material style from the company, the TwoFace is made has a ’60s-inspired, six-base frame designed to fit medium faces with the company’s Three-Point Fit that holds lenses in precise optical alignment, company representatives note. It’s available in polished black with complementary lens and “O”colors including black, dark bronze, jade, and violet, as well as steel with gray, brown sugar with bronze, and matte black with violet.
