KIO YAMATO SUNWEAR ROLLS OUT
Rolling out with the theme of big, bold, and retro, the Kio Yamato Sunglass collection features a range of oversized looks with a glamour theme reminiscent of the late ’70s.
The Kio Yamato Sunwear collection offers a total of four models, each in a minimum of four colors and some models having six colors from which to choose. “The unisex sunglasses are made of the highest grade zyl, which refers to how much moisture is evaporated from the material to make it light,” says Rudia Lee, managing director of Kio Yamato Optics. “So even though our acetates are pretty big (meaning using more material than most), they are very light.”
The sunglasses come with polarized lenses and the entire collection is supported with a variety of P.O.P. options.

The sophisticated finishes within the collection are thanks to a refined process that includes polishing done by bamboo, notes managing director Rudia Lee. Normally wood chips are used, but bamboo leaves a rich luster that emanates from the frame structure and a luminescence that stays for some time, despite wear and tear. Bamboo polishing takes about four times longer than traditional methods and doesn’t use the chemicals typically used in the process.
