Right in the heart of awards season, Roberto Cavalli Eyewear by Marcolin presents Red Carpet, an exclusive capsule collection of sunglasses inspired by fascination of the solar system and all of its stars. Models are created with fine Swarovski crystals and sparkling animalier designs, made with painstaking craftsmanship.

Continuing a 40-plus year tradition of glamour and extravagance, the Red Carpet capsule collection provides paparazzi-ready looks that are ready for their close up. The grouping of elegant acetate frames are adorned with enamel details reproducing Cavalli’s iconic animal designs and enlightened with Swarovski crystals.

Another classic Roberto Cavalli theme occurs in the Red Carpet collection—animal prints. Wild styles include black python in black or red settings, gold python in brown, black leopard in a royal blue setting. The RC828S (shown), is a rectangular shape containing a slim, shimmering animalier print that gives the glasses a sparkling, sensual look.

All of the styles feature sophisticated allure and refined glamour, and every model of the Red Carpet capsule collection is presented in a gold-colored case. The grouping is available for the new spring/summer 2014 season.

Designed as if they were pieces of colored paper cut into simple, striking, and snappy shapes, BOZ Eyewear style Vitalic 9050 is a metal acetate blend with French flair.

The eyewear designers created a look with a natural feeling of motion and flow, described as: “Angles, taut lines, and solid, bright color all moving through space to create a pretty shadow effect when worn.”

In addition, the surface of the brow and temple feature a crackle effect achieved through engraving for a textured feel.

Kaos’s new collection, Techno-game, is a series of unique frames with strong and well-defined personalities thanks to combinations of unpredictable materials and original color, such as those in style KKV328 (shown). Small elements in colored acetate applied on the temples in a way reminiscent of Pac-Man and other 80s video games, the thin sheets that intertwine and intersect each other within the plastic, giving life to miniscule patterns reminiscent of a microchip. Available in several fluorescent color versions: vibrant, sharp, and strong tones are present on temples and front with square lines in an original game of contrasting bicolor effects, company representatives note. Innovative processes feature cutting-edge technical solutions, such as the application of one layer of acetate over another to give to the top of the frame more relevance in some of the models, or create a high-relief effect by etching the multilayer acetate in a way reminiscent of the iconic Pac-Man and Space Invaders pixels.

Seven years ago, Smith Optics introduced its first rimless interchangeable goggle. Now, Smith is introducing the next level in interchangeable design and technology with the new I/O 7 goggle.
