Marrying high-tech materials with color, Talval, the latest concept from ÖGA by Morel, adopts an architectural approach to eyewear. Inspired directly by construction beams, the inside of Talval’s aluminum temples are hollowed out to house solid matte colors. Frame fronts feature a single sweep for an ultra-streamlined appearance. The four Talval models are offered in two full-rim and two semi-rimless shapes. The concept ranges from vibrant colors to more neutral tones. Talval styles are offered in a range of sizes, from 52 to 57, and all models are progressive friendly.

SILHOUETTE REVISITS THE FUTURA FOR CORPORATE 50TH ANNIVERSARY

Silhouette is kicking off the celebration of its 50th anniversary with the Futura Anniversary Collection, an update of the collectors’ favorite style first presented in 1974.

“The original Futura was made of stiff, heavy acetate; a redesign in 2004 eliminated screw and hinges for a sleek aesthetic, but kept the rim,” company representatives note.

Embodying Sihouette’s minimalist, cutting-edge outlook for a frame, the style is lightweight and ultramodern, comprised of SPX+, a special polymer composite with elastic qualities that eliminates the need for screws or hinges.

The style comes in three color combinations: black temples with silver mirror lenses, white temples with bronze mirror lenses, and yellow temples with black lenses.
