Transitions Optical, Inc., has introduced Transitions Viewer, a virtual product demonstration tool to help patients experience wearing Transitions lenses. Using panoramic images, patients are immersed in the experience of wearing the entire Transitions family of lenses, allowing them to see how the lenses enhance vision in different environments. The “Help me decide” feature prioritizes the photochromic lens benefits to find the lens that best fits their needs. The tool can be accessed from a computer, tablet, or mobile device for pre-appointment and in-office product education. A new countercard is available to encourage patients to visit Transitions Viewer during their office visit.

To help educate patients about its portfolio of lenses, Shamir Insight, Inc., has launched Lens Wizard. Through a series of simple questions, the online quiz is designed to help visitors choose the best lens for their specific needs. Once finished, quiz takers can learn more about the recommended lenses and find a local ECP using the store locator feature. To add Shamir’s Lens Wizard to your practice’s page, simply visit Shamir’s website, copy the code, and paste it into to your website’s html. Essilor of America is introducing the Power of 3 Event to drive patients into ECPs’ practices and offer them a direct incentive to purchase Crizal No-Glare, Transitions Adaptive, and Varilux progressive lenses. STAR POWER
Safilo has unveiled a new video for its Gucci Techno Color eyewear capsule collection. The video, which launched worldwide in April, was shot at the legendary Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles and directed by Hollywood heartthrob and Academy Award-nominated actor James Franco, who also stars in the short film alongside model Natalia Bonifacci.
The video, which can be acquired through Safilo sales representatives, is available to all ECPs who carry Gucci eyewear.
