PRACTICE-BUILDING BLOG
Shamir Insight, Inc., announces the launch of a new blog to help eyecare professionals improve their practices. Shamir’s Vitamin See blog, which features a new post each week, focuses on tips to help ECPs in all aspects of their practice, including staff education and lens and eyewear merchandising tips.
The Vitamin See blog has been designed to provide information to help increase an ECP’s business. Practice-building tips are crucial in today’s competitive environment where consumers are highly educated and more is expected of the practice’s sales staff. Through the blog, Shamir aims to bring key business strategies to ECPs regularly. According to the company: “An expanded knowledge base is a win-win for everyone, for a practice’s patients, their employees, and their business.”
The blog features four main topics for posts including: Business Strategies, Trends, Merchandising Tips, and Staff Education.
ECPs can also sign up to receive Vitamin See’s blog posts directly to their inbox.

NEW ECP U
Essilor’s ECP University (ECPU) has relaunched its website with new branding and content.
The new site provides training and education to foster professional development among ECPs with a range of valuable content designed for various practice roles and experience levels. All practice members gain 24/7 access to the full ECPU catalog of 90-plus courses, including optics and ocular anatomy training, patient service and selling, business management, technical concepts, products, insurance, and more.
With this new site, Management & Business Academy (MBA)—once a separate educational product—is now part of ECP University to provide O.D.s and practice owners the business insights and metrics they need to take their practice success to the next level.
