TO THE MARKET:
“Designing eyewear is incredibly complex—not just technically, but because…eyeglasses essentially belong to the body; they should punctuate the wearer’s personality. The symbiosis between product, accessory, and fashion object is extremely challenging.”

A SLAM-DUNK COLLECTION
Nike Vision Aims High with Kevin Durant
Nike Vision from Marchon has partnered with basketball superstar Kevin Durant to launch an expanded eyewear collection targeting adults and young athletes. A total of three adult and three children’s styles have been released to the market, following the collection’s inaugural release of two styles last year.
Nike Vision has taken inspiration for the collection from Durant’s shoe and apparel lines, which feature bright and playful colors as accents.
The materials feature either acetate or a metal/zyl combination, and each style is available in two or three color options. The three youth styles are modified versions of the adult styles. Each style includes the KD logo and the Nike swoosh on the temple. The frames are retail priced at $196 (adults) and $138 (kids).
“We’re thrilled to partner with Kevin again to elevate the collection to another level,” says Steve Tripi, marketing director at Marchon.
