12:30 to 1:30 p.m. PDT - Free for PEN members; $15 for non-members
Offered in partnership with CS Eye, an independent consulting company focused on compliance in the optometry industry, this webinar will focus on security protocols within the office.
July 8 - Customer Service Top 10 Absolutes Webinar
12:30 to 1:30 p.m. PDT - $35 for PEN members; $60 for non-members
This webinar will focus on customer service and the ability to create satisfied, long-term, loyal patients. Topics that will be covered include how to exceed the expectations of patients, preventing problem situations, and improving patient relations.
July 16 - Frame Selection Workshop
1 to 4 p.m. PDT - Elk Grove, Calif. $95 for PEN members; $140 for non-members
This workshop will help you select frames that are comfortable and attractive and the best eyewear choice for your patients' vision needs. This fun and informative, hands-on workshop features current collections of designer frames and is recommended for all optical staff. Worth two hours of American Board of Opticianry continuing education credits.
August 5th – ICD-10-CM Part 1
12:30 to 1:30 p.m. PDT - Free for PEN members; $15 for non-members
Offered in partnership with CS Eye, this webinar will focus on documentation requirements for ICD-10.
August 11 - Office Leaders: Managing through the Stress
9 a.m. - 4 p.m. PDT - Walnut Creek, Calif. $165 for PEN members; $215 for non-members
This event will help sharpen skills for handling stressful situations. Attendees will find out how to decrease conflict, promote teamwork, help staff manage change, and effectively deal with difficult people and challenging situations. This session will also include how to develop a management style that people respond to and respect, and how to stay productive and positive when overwhelmed.
Countdown to ICD-10: Managing the Transition
August 15 - 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. PDT - Irvine, Calif.
August 16 - 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. PDT - Pleasanton, Calif.
$190 for PEN members; $240 for non-members.
This seminar will focus on preparing for ICD-10 before the new coding system is implemented on October 1. Attendees will be given clear information, step-by-step tips and hands-on practice to ease the transition. Presented by John A. McGreal, OD, director of Missouri Eye Associates, a medical-surgical consultation center, who has lectured nationally and internationally for more than 20 years on industry-related topics. Pending approval from the Council on Optometric Practitioner Education (COPE) for four hours worth of continuing education credits.
