HAPPY SUNGLASSES DAY!
National Sunglass Day is right around the corner (June 27), and The Vision Council is making a range of marketing and merchandising materials available to eyecare providers and retailers to support it. The goal is to promote the use of UV protective sunglasses.
Using an online portal, ECPs can find a variety of P.O.P. and in-store promotional items, as well as logos and web buttons for electronic use further promoting National Sunglasses Day and the importance of UV protection via websites and social media platforms. Items can be downloaded as-is or customized for the practice or retailer, and can be printed directly or via print-on-demand services. In addition to printed in-store materials, downloadable videos will be available for use.
Users need only create an account at the site's log-in stage.

NEW CAMPAIGN FOR TRANSITIONS
Transitions Optical, Inc., is rolling out its 2015 consumer PR and social media campaign, “See life through a new lens.” Transitions lens wearers and influencers, such as those with high social media followings, will be speaking up about how Transitions lenses help them see life in the best light. One of those influencers is Sarah Evans, a popular blogger and tweeter as well as an avid eyeglass wearer. She will kick off a year-long video series about Transitions lenses at the 2015 SXSW Festival. Transitions will also increase the availability of trial decals at consumer events throughout the year.
