sierra Quitiquit has seen peaks and valleys. The 27-year-old Park City, UT native is a professional skier who has starred in Warren Miller ski flicks—and she also happens to be a successful fashion model, gracing Times Square billboards for brands like American Eagle. But it hasn’t always been a charmed life. Quitiquit has lost family members and friends along the way, and she chronicles her peaks and valleys in the 2015 film “How Did I Get Here.” Here, EB sits down with Quitiquit, who is an ambassador for Dragon sunwear from Marchon, to learn more.
On Her Biggest Accomplishment:
I’d have to say making my film, because I worked so hard on it. From fundraising to production logistics and shooting 14-hour days for months straight, I really put everything I had into it for two years.
On the Film:
Through social media, in the beauty and fashion industries there’s a sense of pressure to live a perfect life as a perfect human, but that reality simply does not exist. I’ve been through some incredibly difficult things in my life and also had the opportunity to accomplish some of my wildest dreams.
I wanted to show people something real, raw, and relatable.
On Eyewear:
Long days in the mountains can be really hard on your eyes. It’s so important to me to have quality lenses. When the light shifts throughout the day I like to change my lenses—and Dragon’s Swiftlock technology makes it so easy.
