A CLOSER LOOK
New Toric From CooperVision
CooperVision has introduced its Biofinity XR toric contact lenses, designed for patients with prescriptions beyond the traditional stock range.
The Biofinity XR sphere lenses, introduced in 2013, offer a combination of high oxygen permeability and all-day comfort to patients with severe near- and farsightedness. With the new Biofinity XR toric, these benefits are extended to patients who have both high prescriptions and astigmatism—typically patients who have had challenges with contact lenses in the past or may even have thought that contact lens wear was not an option.
Biofinity XR toric features Aquaform Technology, which allows more oxygen to reach the eyes, helping to maintain clear, white eyes and healthier corneal physiology. The lens material is naturally and uniformly wettable, providing a soft and flexible lens.
A limited rollout has already begun, with a wider rollout of the product beginning next month.
