PAL FOR PRESBYOPES

eyeOs premium reading eyewear launches the OFFICE PAL collection, over-the-counter (OTC) readers with progressive magnification lenses. Marketed as “every presbyope’s best friend,” OFFICE PAL lets the wearer focus during visual multitasking, providing comfortable and natural vision for each viewing distance.

“Our goal is to bring to market reading eyewear that helps consumers make their everyday lives better,” says Sam Kotob, founder and designer of eyeOs. “We were the first to introduce readers with premium frames and premium AR-coated aspheric lenses. Now, we're the first to introduce premium OTC office readers.”

OFFICE PAL will be available in the entire eyeOs collection (pictured here is model Mon Cheri) and will also feature eyeOs' Hex-O-Tech coatings. ECPs can have them customized to a specific PD and seg height.

BREAK-THE-RULES BOND

Bamford Watch Department’s George Bamford has teamed with ic! berlin’s Ralph Anderl for ic! berlin X Bamford, a limited-edition screwless hybrid frame. Bamford and Anderl met in Berlin during an interview for a fashion magazine and discovered a mutual passion for form/function, design, and glasses.

The ic! berlin X Bamford (pictured) features an acetate frame with sheet metal hinges in Black, available with Royal Blue mirrored or clear lenses.

“Both brands got their big break by breaking the rules (Bamford, by tweaking and customizing Rolex watches on his own accord, and Anderl, by crashing trade shows and trying to sell screwless glasses without a stand or a permit),” says ic! berlin.

Anne Klein from Altair unveils four new optical models in its October 2016 eyewear collection, fusing vintage silhouettes, a feminine color palette, and textural animal print detailing.

Pictured is model AK5052, a style that is “inspired from the archive.” The acetate and metal combination flaunts horn colorations and satin metal temples with the Anne Klein block logo. Colors Navy Horn Crystal and Blonde Horn Crystal are pictured here; this style is also available in Red Horn Crystal.

Models AK5053, AK5054, and AK5055 are also offered in the collection, which “reflects an essence of elevated simplicity, built for the 21st-century woman.”
