L’Amy America has entered into an exclusive multiyear license agreement with Canali to market and distribute a luxury collection of sunglasses and ophthalmic frames under the Canali brand. The Canali eyewear collection is slated for availability in March 2018, and will preview at the MIDO Milan optical trade fair next year (by appointment only).
Marchon Eyewear, Inc., and Calvin Klein, Inc., have announced a long-term, multiyear renewal of their licensing agreement for the exclusive design, development, production, and distribution of Calvin Klein, Inc.’s ophthalmic and sunglass collections under the CALVIN KLEIN 205W39NYC, CALVIN KLEIN, and Calvin Klein Jeans brands—marking a 25-year partnership between the two companies.

Barberini Eyewear and 8 Points, Inc., announce an exclusive distribution agreement for the Barberini collection of plano and prescription sunglasses for Canada and the United States.
Professional Eyecare Resource Co-Operative (PERC) and Infinity Vision Alliance (IVA) have started a give-back program in which they will donate $2 for every Iconik frame and $1 for every Public Eyeworks frame sale to the Essilor Vision Foundation. The program runs through Aug. 30, 2019.
PERC and IVA have also partnered with illuma Care Connections to engage diabetic patients and schedule appointments with PERC and IVA providers.
Marchon Eyewear, Inc., acquired a majority interest in the company’s exclusive distributor in Turkey, Enternasyonal Gözlük, now operating as Marchon Turkiye.

Head into 2018 with opti Munich, the annual international trade show for optics and design at the Fairground Messe München. The show promises to be bigger than ever—literally.
This year’s show, taking place Jan. 12-14, expands with an additional exhibit hall, making a total of five halls of new products—including eyewear, contact lenses, spectacle lenses, low vision products, store design elements, accessories, and technology.
The new Hall B4 will host the popular opti forum, offering lectures from the industry’s top international speakers. International pavilions (including those from France, China, Japan, and Korea) will also be hosted in the hall, as well as the new Future Shop, showcasing the newest technology to impact the industry.
“In 2018, we will experience the most complete opti so far,” says Bettina Reiter, opti project manager.
