eyeOs Announces Prescription Eyewear Package
eyeOs Premium Readers has unveiled SmartRx, the company’s complete prescription eyewear package.
“We have built our frames to rival the best brands in the optical industry by using quality acetate from Mazzucchelli and premium components from Comotec and OBE,” says eyeOs founder and designer Sam Kotob. “Our optical retailers loved the quality and style of eyeOs so much that it was an organic progression for them to request eyeOs frame-only to fill their Rx jobs.”
The SmartRx program is available with aspheric or digital single-vision lenses, depending on the Rx, and fully optimized 100% backside digital progressive lenses. All packages come with premium AR.
eyeOs has set up a professional in-house lab to handle Rx orders as part of the SmartRx program, which is available exclusively through brick-and-mortar optical locations.
Suggested retail pricing for a complete frame-and-lens package starts at $159 for single vision and $269 for digital progressives.

TO THE MARKET: “SmartRx came about in response to our optical retailers’ need for a moderately priced Rx package that includes high-quality and stylish frames with great-quality lenses. Our retailers recognize the demand for this category, as evidenced by the success of Warby Parker. The solution is simple: ‘never lose a customer’ because you can’t offer them smart style at a smart price in unparalleled quality. Having been an optician for over three decades, I totally understand the challenges our retailers face and, with SmartRx, eyeOs now is part of the solution. How does the saying go? You don’t have to work harder to increase your capture rate, just work smarter.”

TO THE MARKET: “Developed in OVVO’s European studios, each pair of glasses contains just enough metal to hold the lenses, leaving the rest of the frame airy and exposed. The lenses are as much a part of the design as the frames holding them in place, allowing something that’s often an afterthought to share center stage.”
