Altair Eyewear, Inc., and Bluestar Alliance, LLC, a strategic partner of bebe stores, inc., announced a multiyear renewal of the global licensing agreement for the exclusive worldwide design, production, and distribution of ophthalmic and sunglass collections under the bebe brand name.
L’Amy Group has entered into an exclusive multiyear agreement with Chris-Craft to design, manufacture, and distribute a premium collection of Chris-Craft-branded ophthalmic and sunglasses frames for men and women.

BluTech, LLC, named two individuals to its executive ranks: David S. Provow is chief operating officer, and Renato Cappuccitti is senior vice president of sales and marketing. Provow has served in senior-level capacities for companies such as Luxottica, Carl Zeiss Vision, and SOLA Optical. Cappuccitti previously served as a member of the leadership team at Costa.

VSP Global’s call centers were recognized by the Service Quality Measurement Group. VSP Vision Care won top honor as Contact Center of the Year. Marchon Eyewear, Inc., was named the Highest Customer Satisfaction by Industry–B2B and received Contact Center World Class CX Certification, along with its Altair Eyewear division.

Opti Munich, held in January, added a fifth hall to its space for 2018, and prepares for six halls for 2019. This year’s show saw a 17% increase in exhibitors from the previous year, and 94% of the 28,430 visitors and 92% of the 668 exhibitors gave the show high approval ratings. Prevent Blindness has named Jeff Todd as its new president and CEO. Todd joined Prevent Blindness in 2003 as director of public health and later served as COO, where he oversaw the mission-based work of the company.
Shamir Optical Industry, Ltd., has appointed Yagen Moshe as its new president and CEO, effective July 1. He will replace Amos Netzer, who has announced his impending retirement.
