ABB Optical Group announced its latest leadership appointments: Mike Bono, chief financial officer; Michael Dell, Esq., general counsel; Erika Jurrens, senior VP of strategic development and commercialization; Aaron See, senior VP of manufacturer partnerships; Paul Sherman, chief development officer; and Meg FitzGerald, board of directors.

Charmant named Paul Saccone as regional sales manager of the Northwestern territory. Saccone, a former optician, has been a Charmant sales representative since 1999.

Coburn Technologies, Inc., promoted David Kilfoil to marketing manager. Kilfoil is also a member of The Vision Council’s Emerging Optical Leaders Committee.

GIGI Barcelona has entered the U.S. eyewear market, naming industry veteran Miki Huguet as general manager in the U.S.

IDOC added four new members to its executive and management teams: Jan Cory, senior director of strategic partnerships; Jill Johnson, VP of human resources; Bridgette O’Brien, director of marketing; and Scott Robinson, director of strategic partnerships.

New England College of Optometry announced that Clifford Scott, O.D., MPH, has been named president emeritus. Erik Weissberg, O.D., FAAO, has been named vice president and dean of academic affairs.

◄ New York Eye appointed Eileen Goldman Sobel as national sales director. For the past 18 years, Sobel represented De Rigo REM as the Midwest regional manager.

Dennis Norris joined OneSight as head of global programming. Norris is a former United Nations executive with more than 25 years of experience.

Optovue promoted Joe Garibaldi to vice president of U.S. sales. He joined the company in 2009 as a territory manager.

◄ Victoria Hallberg has been appointed Safilo North America’s chief marketing officer, a newly created position. Hallberg had previous roles at Marchon and VSP Global.

Santinelli International promoted Chris Sharkey to sales consultant for the Long Island Sound territory. Sharkey has been with the company for 13 years.

Think About Your Eyes announced its advisory board members for 2019, led by incoming chairman Rick Weisbarth, O.D. They are: Steve Loomis, O.D., of the AOA; Jacqueline Henderson of Johnson & Johnson Vision; Ken Bradley of Eschenbach; Jacquie Bowen, O.D., of the AOA; Renee Himel of National Vision, Inc.; Sherrianne James of Essilor of America; and Carl Spear, O.D., of Luxottica.

The board of directors at VSP Global has named Gordon Jennings, O.D., as chairman of the board for a two-year term. Dr. Jennings previously served as vice chairman.
