ACUVUE Oasys With Transitions
The long-awaited ACUVUE Oasys with Transitions Light Intelligent Technology—the first photochromic contact lens—is now available nationally. It adapts to changing light, helping eyes recover from bright light faster, reducing halos/starbursts at night, and reducing the need for squinting, Johnson & Johnson Vision Care reports.
The two-week reusable lens activates in less than a minute and fades back within 90 seconds. It provides 100% protection against UVAB rays, but is not intended as a sunglass replacement. acuvue.com/transitions

Vision-R 800
The Vision-R 800 phoropter uses a liquid lens and a new refractive process to determine refractive power of 0.01D steps and instantaneous changes of sphere, cylinder, and axis. It is a cornerstone in Essilor’s new Advanced Vision Accuracy (AVA) solution, which pairs the phoropter with premium lens designs to offer patients digital accu- racy in both exam and prescription to within 1/100th of a diopter.
