More on Myopia Management
Products used for myopia management range from ortho-k, eye drops, multifocal contacts, as well as single vision and progressive addition spectacle lenses.

Together, they underscore the rush to bring new myopia management and myopia control products and programs to market.

Why is it important to follow the rapid-fire changes in this burgeoning category? As Andrew Neukirch, O.D., owner of Carillon Vision Care in Glenview, IL, puts it, “Myopia management is still in its early stages, and it is only going to grow. Now is the time to take action and start changing children’s lives. This,” he adds, “has been the most rewarding and fun part of my 13 years of practicing optometry!”
David Holler, O.D., who brought myopia management into the six-location Clarity Vision Operation he heads in North Carolina, agrees. “I would say you have to be completely knowledgeable on this topic because I can't think of anything that's going to be bigger over the next five or 10 years.” —Stephanie K De.
