Go Big.
Paired with either statement-making frames or simply subtle specs, bold and chunky eyewear retainers are today’s ultimate on-trend accessory.
Enter wave-making brand Cibelle, serving up bold chains in cheery colors, as well as eyewear and headbands.
“We’re bringing back a forgotten accessory to the forefront in a very unique and functional way,” says Agustina Cybel, founder and designer at Cibelle Eyewear. “After hearing the frustration of clients losing eyewear they loved, we decided to do something about it by designing a practical, fashionable, and affordable chain that clients would actually want to wear in multiple ways.”
Cibelle’s chains are designed in Miami and ethically handmade by artisans in Italy. Bonus style points: The clasp closure makes the chains compatible as a necklace or face mask retainer.

OMNICHANNEL SURFING
Family-owned eyewear brand and retailer Moscot, with 16 optical shops around the globe, has teamed up with tech company Vertebrae to offer virtual frame try-on for its top specs styles.
The true-to-scale augmented reality technology, accessible in person via QR codes in store windows or online through a web browser or smartphone, allows shoppers to see how the Moscot frames will look on their face.
“Moscot is rethinking the role of the shop window in 2021 and using AR to bring the shop into the street,” says Vertebrae CEO Vince Cacace. “The use of QR codes has exploded during the pandemic, and Moscot is smart to take advantage of their popularity to reimagine the digital shopping experience for online shoppers as well as people walking by or visiting their shops.”
