◄ Masato Nakagaichi has been promoted to president and CEO of Charmant USA. Formerly the executive vice president, Nakagaichi has worked for Charmant Group for more than 25 years, including as director of corporate planning, sales manager for export sales, and sales support manager.
ClearVision announced the promotion of Pamela Benson from sales consultant to regional sales director for the Southeastern United States and the appointment of Sam Cerro as director of sales for national accounts. Benson has worked as a sales consultant for the last 16 years. Cerro joins the company with expertise across product development, inventory planning, merchandising, and distribution strategies.
GSRx Inc. named Ryan Burns and Michaela Matuska as the Midwest territory managers for accounts in the Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, Illinois, and southern Minnesota areas. Burns joins the company with 18 years of industry experience in inside sales, customer service, and outside sales. Matuska has held inside and outside sales positions for optical manufacturers and distributors.
Bryan Wolynski, O.D., FAAO, has been named chief technology officer at Lighthouse Guild. Dr. Wolynski joins the company with more than 35 years of experience in the eyecare field, including work with assistive technology and vision rehabilitation.
◄ Emanuele Cappellano has been appointed as the new chairman and president of Marcolin USA. Most recently, Cappellano was chief financial officer and head of financial services at Stellantis Latin America. Cappellano has also served as head of financial planning and analysis and head of platform, investment, and R&D control for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Latin America, and head of brand and commercial control for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Europe.
OcuDoc has appointed Dwight Akerman, O.D., MBA, as chief medical advisor. Dr. Akerman has experience in myopia management and the broader eyecare industry.

SightGlass Vision has named Andrew Sedgwick as chief executive officer, François Bloquiau as chief financial officer, and Balthazar Masurel as vice president of strategic marketing. Sedgwick most recently served as senior vice president of commercial strategy for CooperVision; Bloquiau was CFO of EssilorLuxottica Brazil; and Masurel led global myopia control and presbyopia category marketing for Essilor.

Healthy Eyes Advantage (HEA) and Professional Eye Care Associates of America (PECAA) have launched a unified brand under one name, PECAA, following HEA’s 2021 acquisition of PECAA. The combined benefits of an eyecare buying group and doctor alliance are packaged under a new, all-inclusive member program called PECAA Max.
To combat myopia, Hoya Lens UK and Haag-Streit UK have partnered to provide ECPs with Lenstar Myopia by Hoya to provide diagnostics and treatment for myopia and its progression.
