For fall/winter 2025, eyewear is bold and futuristic, EB recently experienced firsthand during travels to Milan, Italy, to tour the Tortona Experience Center, EssilorLuxottica’s immersive brand showcase hub, alongside a small group of journalists for EssilorLuxottica Days. In addition to previewing new launches for some of the eyewear company’s most iconic brands, EB got a peek into the trends defining the next season of frame design.

Key style directions include Experimental Metals with layered constructions, oversized Alien Eyes shapes for statement-makers, and Chrome Mirage frames with high-shine finishes. Urban Flat Tops bring strong brow lines back into focus, while Hybrid Layers mix materials for visual depth. Minimalist Barely There silhouettes, updated Must-Have Classics, and nostalgic Timeless Ovals round out the mix, offering options for every style preference.
The season’s color palette highlights Magma Hues (fiery reds), Neo Neutrals (soft taupes and grays), and Tinted Lenses in subtle shades of amber and rose.
Here, the Swarovski SK1030 from EssilorLuxottica hits a mix of on-trend arenas: The exaggerated butterfly silhouette illustrates the Alien Eyes silhouette trend. Elegant crystals adorning a minimalist wire frame play with Hybrid Layers and Experimental Metals while leaning into a subtle flat-top look.
