Feb. 10, 2023 —Young professionals, including optometry and opticianry students, can once again network with companies seeking new talent at Career Zone on Saturday of Vision Expo East 2023, set to take place Thursday to Sunday, March 16-19, at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.
Located at booth F3162 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Career Zone connects corporate optical companies and associations with potential hires in a laidback environment. Participating companies are Elevate Eyecare, EssilorLuxottica, MyEyeDr., National Vision, Shopko Optical, Vision Source, Vision To Learn, VSP Premier, Walmart, and Warby Parker.

The Career Zone will host two panel presentations: “Where Should I Start My Eye Care Career?” at 11:15 a.m. followed by “Life-Work Balance in the Eyecare Industry” at 2:30 p.m. (The first 25 attendees of the 11:15 a.m. panel will receive a $10 Starbucks gift card.) Career Zone will close with an ice cream social hosted by the Optical Women’s Association at 3:15 p.m.
The Passport Program encourages students and young professionals to network with Career Zone exhibitors throughout the day. Passport distribution begins when Career Zone opens at 10 a.m., and the sweepstakes drawing will take place around 3 p.m.
