Sept. 20, 2023 — CooperVision has announced the ninth annual Best Practices initiative, an opportunity to highlight eyecare practices across the country that have shown dedication to advancing the profession through innovation, leadership, and exceptional patient care. The scholarship component offers optometry students the chance to learn directly from the honorees.
The 2024 honorees will be given exclusive opportunities to collaborate and learn from 80 other Best Practices previously recognized for their achievements, fostering further growth in the profession.
“The comradery built through the Best Practices initiative has enabled so many unique practices around the nation to collaborate and learn to grow their practices in new and exciting ways,” says Michele Andrews, O.D., vice president, professional and government affairs, Americas, CooperVision.
All U.S. optometry practices currently fitting any brand of contact lenses are eligible to apply, though the initiative encourages applicants to share their insights beyond contact lenses into areas like industry advancement, community impact, patient experience, specialty services, and team building.
To apply for the Best Practices scholarship, applicants must be third-year optometry students in good standing at a U.S. optometry school. Scholarship recipients will join the 2024 honorees at the annual Best Practices Summit, a two-day educational event.
The deadline to submit is Monday, Nov. 7. After review by a panel of judges that includes previous Best Practices honorees, industry experts, and CooperVision leaders, the 2024 honorees and scholarship recipients will be announced early next year.
