Feb. 10, 2023 — The 51st edition of Mido 2023 recently concluded, reporting record-breaking numbers for the three-day international eyewear industry trade show at Milan’s Fiera Milano Rho.
From Feb. 3-5, the event gathered nearly 35,000 industry professionals—a 60% increase compared to last year. More than 1,000 exhibitors represented the entire supply chain, from young independent designers to ubiquitous brands and frame and lens manufacturers. The schedule of events had a special focus on opticians and sustainability and also included special fashion-forward events such as award ceremonies and a series of appearances by entertainment personalities. “This year we attracted many first-time presences among exhibitors and visitors who expressed their positive surprise at walking through the doors of our show,” says Mido president Giovanni Vitaloni. “The ‘wonder’ that is part of the show’s DNA is precisely this—to delight those who participate to such an extent that they cannot help but be here every year.”
The event also prompted notable online activity, boasting more than 15,000 shares, 1.4 million impressions, and 50,000 interactions—a 30% increase compared to last year.
The next edition of Mido will return to Milan’s Fiera Milano Rho Feb. 3-5, 2024.
