Sept. 13, 2023 — Modo has acquired eyewear design and distribution company Italia Independent with plans to expand the brand’s international distribution.
 
Lapo Elkann, founder of Italia Independent, anticipates that Modo will evolve the brand he created, which he plans to remain involved with.
 
The first Italia Independent collection from Modo is scheduled for spring/summer 2024. The collection will be made in Italy and distributed through an exclusive network of opticians worldwide.
