Oct. 19, 2023 — The organizers of Vision Expo West, The Vision Council and Rx, have announced the winners of the inaugural EYEnovate event, which took place at Vision Expo West 2023.
 
EYEnovate featured 15-minute talks from eight emerging industry players to highlight technological innovations in the optical field in areas like automation, artificial intelligence, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, VR/AR, and more.
 
Brian Levy, O.D., MSc, CEO of InflammX Therapeutics, earned the first-ever EYEnovate Ocular Horizons Award for his presentation, “Novel Platform Technology Targeting the Pathological NLRP3 Inflammasome in Retinal/Kidney Disease,” which described an orally administered tablet capable of treating retinal diseases in both eyes simultaneously.
 
Other featured companies included Topology, Yolia Health, Myoptechs, Eye-Go, UptimeHealth, Silktears, and Vision Wear.
