March 6, 2024 — The Vision Council (TVC) has published the 2024 Market inSights Forecast, a report projecting the state of the optical industry.

Based on three years of estimates and data from TVC’s Market inSights research program, the 2024 Market inSights Forecast report projects a 0.33% decline in total market value compared to last year’s estimated value of $65.6 billion.

TVC predicts the market value will remain stable throughout the year with a total value of $65.4 billion due to expected increases in exams, frames, and lenses—growth that outweighs expected decreases in market value for contact lenses, plano sunglasses, and readers.
