Sept. 12, 2024 — The Professional Eye Care Associates of America (PECAA) and VSP Vision have announced the extension of the VSP Vision exam rebate program through 2025, allowing eyecare providers to earn up to $10 per VSP commercial eye exam, potentially adding as much as $60,000 in additional revenue next year. Since its launch in 2023, more than 2,000 practices have collectively received $20 million through the rebate program.
“We hear every day from doctors who credit the rebate with their ability to invest in staff training, new technology, and more,” says PECAA president Jonathan Worrall. “We’re proud to extend this offer that’s a differentiator for independent eye care.”
“The money that we’ve received from the rebate was used to fund the up-front investment in new frame lines, which we hadn’t had in a while,” says Dina Davis, O.D., of Davis Eye Associates in Fayetteville, AR. “With rising costs, the vision exam rebate is substantial and very beneficial to independent practitioners.”
In addition to the rebate extension, PECAA has introduced PECAA Dry Eye Partners, a program aimed at helping private practice owners improve their management of dry eye disease. This program, available at no cost to PECAA Max members, provides education, consultation, and discounted products for treating dry eye disease. Currently available in select states, the program will expand nationwide in 2025. Members of the Dry Eye Partners program will receive personalized strategy planning, education, and assistance with treatment and marketing.
