Oct. 11, 2024 — VSP Vision announced plans to acquire Eyemart Express, a Texas-based organization with nearly 250 stores across 42 states, from private equity firms FFL Partners and Leonard Green & Partners. VSP shares that the acquisition is a strategic step toward expanding and enhancing its network and services.

"Like VSP, Eyemart Express is a doctor-founded organization with similar values and a shared commitment to expanding access to affordable, high-quality eye care and eyewear to as many people as possible," says VSP Vision president and CEO Michael Guyette. "We see an opportunity for this partnership to serve a broader range of patient segments including in some rural and traditionally underserved communities."

The acquisition is pending regulatory approval.
