The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) is accepting submissions for the 10th edition of its annual World Sight Day Photo Competition, inviting photographers from around the globe to highlight the importance of eye health through powerful imagery.
The competition encourages both amateur and professional photographers to submit images aligned with this year’s World Sight Day theme, #LoveYourEyes. Updated categories for 2025 include Love Your Eyes, Love Your Child’s Eyes, Love Your Eyes at Work, Love Health for All, and Eyes in Focus, all aimed at showcasing the impact of accessible and equitable eye care.
To commemorate the competition’s 10th anniversary, IAPB has launched a digital exhibition featuring standout images from the past decade. The online gallery aims to spotlight the role of photography in raising awareness about vision health and the global movement to prevent avoidable blindness.
The competition is part of IAPB’s broader #LoveYourEyes campaign, which places individual stories and community impact at the center of its advocacy efforts. Submissions are open through Oct. 20, with winners set to be announced on Nov. 4. The top prize includes a cash award of $1,000.
