Jan. 2, 2025 — Mido, the international eyewear trade show in Milan, has announced significant updates for its 2025 edition set to take place Feb. 8-10.
The Otticlub area, a key space for workshops, seminars, and events, will now be called The Vision Stage. This change reflects the area’s evolution into a hub for innovation and dialogue, catering to a broader audience and encompassing diverse topics. Since its inception in 2011 as "Health and Innovation," Otticlub has transformed from a niche space for lens companies into a central platform for professional development and networking. The Vision Stage will continue this trajectory in 2025, focusing on topics such as digitization, innovation, social responsibility, “Made in Italy,” sustainability, women empowerment, and market trends.
Mido 2025 will also feature significant changes to its layout:
- The Design area, comprised of pavilions 2 and 4, will remain dedicated to creative and experimental designs, welcoming new and returning exhibitors while expanding space for existing participants.
- The Academy, emphasizing originality and creativity, will move from pavilion 2 to pavilion 6, aligning with the tech-focused exhibits to foster synergies between design and innovation.
- Central gathering spaces—the piazzas, including Mido’s iconic Fashion Square—will be updated to enhance functionality and visitor experience, particularly in the Design area's pavilions.
Additionally, Mido announced enhancements to its digital tools, designed to improve accessibility and interaction for exhibitors and visitors alike:
- The updated Mido app will include features such as QR code scanning for visitor tracking and tools for saving and organizing visits.
- The official website will offer exclusive content for exhibitors and visitors, optimized navigation for users with disabilities, and tools to streamline exhibitor preparations, including Mido’s official media kit to aid in the creation of press and social media content, a lineup of innovations set to be introduced at the show, and more.
- Instagram will serve as a platform for exhibitors to showcase innovations. Content that is aligned with Mido’s editorial guidelines can be reposted to @mido_exhibition’s 38,500 followers.
