Optometry Divas will celebrate its 10th anniversary on July 26 by launching two major initiatives: the All-White Dinner Banquet Fundraiser and the 2025 Educational Retreat. Under the theme "A Decade of Focus," the anniversary highlights the organization’s decade-long mission to promote gender equity, professional development, and global outreach in optometry.

Scheduled for July 26, the All-White Dinner Banquet Fundraiser will support Haitian optometry students who face disrupted clinical training due to regional unrest. Proceeds will fund clinical rotations at L’Université de Montréal. Held in Orlando, FL, the event will include dinner, an auction, and an appearance by Raquel Pélissier, first runner-up of Miss Universe 2016.

“Investing in these students secures global eye health and cultivates the next generation of optometry leaders,” says Lauretta Justin, OD, founder of Optometry Divas.

Also in Orlando, the 2025 Educational Retreat will take place July 26-27 and offer 16 continuing education credits on topics that include AI in eye care, gene therapy applications, and smart contact lens technology.
