
Prevent Blindness announced that Jim McGrann, president and CEO of Advancing Eyecare, will receive the 2026 Person of Vision Award at a gala on March 11, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Orlando in conjunction with Vision Expo. Proceeds from the event will support the organization’s programs and initiatives.
The Person of Vision Award recognizes individuals who demonstrate leadership and commitment to advancing eye health. McGrann was selected by a volunteer committee for his long-standing contributions to the vision care industry and his involvement with Prevent Blindness.
“Jim McGrann exemplifies service and dedication,” says Jeff Todd, president and CEO of Prevent Blindness. “He is a passionate ambassador for Prevent Blindness and has helped guide our organization through years of growth as we increase our impact on the vision and eye health of those across the country.”
McGrann has more than 40 years of experience in business and the vision sector. His career includes leadership positions at Professional Eye Care Associates of America (PECAA), Marchon, VSP Global, and VSP Vision Care, among others. He currently serves as vice chair of The Vision Council and is the outgoing chair of the Prevent Blindness board of directors.
The 2026 Person of Vision Committee is chaired by Maureen Cavanagh of Advancing Eyecare. Other committee members include Deb Bulken, Luxottica Wholesale; Marc Ferrara, Jobson Medical Information; Bart Foster, BusinessOutside; Justin Manning, OD, MPH, FAAO, PECAA; Jamie Shyer, Zyloware Eyewear; Andy Skitmore, Marchon; and Kristen Tischler, Advancing Eyecare.
The event is open to Vision Expo attendees and members of the broader eyecare community.
