
Following a recent event in New York City, The Frame Affair has announced the launch of its West Coast edition, set to take place Sept. 13–14, in Santa Monica, CA.
The Frame Affair is a trade event designed to showcase independent eyewear collections in a gallery-style setting, featuring more than 75 brands from around the world, with a focus on U.S.-based production. The event highlights eyewear ranging from affordable options to luxury designs, emphasizing the craftsmanship and artistic inspiration behind each collection. Attendees can also explore vendor promotions and access business and technology resources.
New additions to the Santa Monica event include the following:
- Akrinos Business Builder Workshops: In collaboration with Erich Mattei, these sessions will offer data-driven insights and business strategies for practices in various growth stages, including Cold Start, Growth & Expansion, and Transition.
- The Factory: In this dedicated space for independent optical labs, Cherry Optical Labs is confirmed as the first participant. Attendees can connect with U.S.-based labs specializing in services like antireflective treatments, digital surfacing, rimless production, and more.
- Business Resources: This section offers advisory services and business tools provided by Akrinos to help practice owners enhance operations and strategy.
- Tools & Tech: This showcase will feature the latest practice management tools, technologies, and equipment—from EHR systems to optical components.
