Vision Expo, organized by The Vision Council (TVC) and RX, announced it will consolidate into a single annual event beginning in March 2026. The new format replaces the current biannual schedule and will rotate among major U.S. cities.
The first unified Vision Expo will take place March 12–14, 2026, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL, followed by March 11-13, 2027, at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas and March 30-April 1, 2028, at the Javitz Center in New York City. The host city for 2029 will be announced at a later date. Vision Expo West will continue as scheduled for 2025, set for Sept. 17–20 at The Venetian Expo in Las Vegas.
Organizers said the decision follows extensive feedback from exhibitors, attendees, and industry partners. The shift aims to simplify the event calendar, enhance networking and educational opportunities, and create a larger, more impactful platform for product launches and business development.
“Vision Expo was created to serve the industry, and this move reflects a strategic investment in its future,” says TVC CEO Ashley Mills. “By uniting the industry in one powerful annual moment, we create space for greater innovation, stronger partnerships, and long-term growth.”
“By concentrating resources to produce one yearly show, Vision Expo strengthens its position as the can’t-miss optical event in North America,” says RX event vice president April Stackhouse.
Key goals for the restructured event include expanded technology showcases, immersive activations, streamlined event planning, and strategic alignment with key buying seasons and continuing education cycles. The rotating host city model is designed to provide regional accessibility and fresh experiences for participants.
Vision Expo will continue to feature accredited education, product discovery, and networking opportunities. Additional details and updates can be found here.
