The Optical Women’s Association (OWA) will host a networking breakfast and panel discussion on Saturday, March 7, from 7:30 to 9:00 AM as part of NYC Eyewear Design Week. The event will bring together professionals from the optical, fashion, and accessories industries for discussion and networking.
The panel, titled “Through the Lens of Change: How Global Fashion and Business Trends Are Shaping the World of Eyewear,” will be moderated by Karen Giberson, president and CEO of the Accessories Council. Panelists include Janna Neal, senior vice president of operations at Zyloware Kenmark Eyewear and vice president of the OWA; Wendy Salle, director of opticianry and frame merchandising at Keplr Vision; and Christine Yeh, senior executive editor at 20/20 Magazine.
The discussion will focus on the impact of global fashion trends, emerging technologies, and evolving business models on eyewear design, retail, and consumer experience. Topics will include style, sustainability, consumer behavior, and market growth.
The breakfast will also offer attendees opportunities for networking and learning more about OWA’s programs and membership, which aim to support and empower women across the optical industry. Attendance is free, with advance registration required.
