Transitions Optical has introduced Transitions VisionNext, a nationwide workshop series aimed at providing eyecare professionals with education on emerging developments in light-adaptive and smart eyewear.
The program is scheduled to begin this spring, with sessions planned in select US cities. Five events have been confirmed between Hartford, Connecticut and Nashville, Tennessee. The workshops are offered at no cost and include opportunities for training and peer networking.
According to the company, the initiative is designed to address evolving patient expectations that are driven by advances in technology, including artificial intelligence–enabled eyewear and wearable devices. The curriculum focuses on translating these developments into practical applications for patient care within independent optical practices.
The workshop agenda includes a Transitions Certified Live session, which offers 1 ABO credit and covers topics such as light science, visual comfort, and lens performance. Additional programming includes a noncontinuing education session that explores the role of smart eyewear and shifting consumer demand, as well as hands-on training led by representatives from Transitions Optical and EssilorLuxottica.
Participants will also receive professional resources and materials, including tools that are intended to support patient education and in-office demonstrations. Attendees may qualify for Transitions Certified Practice designation, which includes access to certain company programs and visibility through its practice locator.
Each event will also include a networking component and a hosted dinner.
Registration for the Transitions VisionNext workshops is open to US eyecare professionals. Additional details are available here.
